Farmers Health Hub

2021 will see a big focus on Farmer’s Health and well-being. We have created a ‘Farmers Health Hub’ so people can become more educated and connect with a variety of organisations and professionals in a casual environment. It’s also important if you know someone who is struggling, what you can do to help. There’ll be  free farmer’s health checks including mental health and well being, to eye checks, blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring and support groups.

National suicide prevention charity R U OK? will be at the Riverina Field Days with their bright yellow tent that’s packed with information and resources to help you learn when and how to ask, “Are you OK?” and start a conversation that could change a life. Come on down for a chat, a cuppa and a chance to learn how you can make a difference.

Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN), in partnership with the National Centre for Farmer Health (NCFH), are proud to be providing FREE farmer health checks at the Riverina Field Days.

Throughout both days, an agri-health professional will assess individuals in 20-minutes sessions covering health behaviours, farm practices and social and emotional wellbeing along with a clinical assessment covering diabetes risk, blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, vision and BMI.

They’ll also have a range of useful resources available, including brochures, cards and factsheets with a wealth of important information.
